The client is a tech consultant and startup advisor in the USA. We were required to develop a native Android mobile app that allows the users to create events, invite people to join the events and shows the estimated time of arrival (ETA).
Our Android developers created the native mobile app “Komtu” as required by the client and added various features in it. We integrated the Gmail login process to access the app. We developed the “Add event” feature that allows the app users to create, edit and delete the events. The newly created event can be synced in the Android calendar and the mobile app. We added the location filter to validate the location of the event. Also, we created the “Event Detail” page that shows the ETA of various attendees and they can accept or decline the event.
The challenge for our team was to sync the calendar data with the app. Our team used the Google Places API to synchronize the data. Finally, we delivered this mobile app to the client.
